Pre-Concert Presenter, Author, Broadcaster and Lecturer
Trained in lyric singing and acting, french musicologist Michèle Larivière presents all the introductions to the Verbier Festival evening concerts and has been a broadcaster for flagship Radio France/France Musique musical series including les Mémoires retrouvées de Nicolaï Gedda, Leopold Simoneau, Suzanne Danco, Ileana Cotrubas, Peter Ustinov and Portraits of Alfred Bruneau, Wolf-Ferrari, Maurice Ohana, Yves Prin and Renaud Gagneux.

Presenter for Mezzo TV from 1999 to 2002 she has lectured in all the famous halls of France (Châtelet, Salle Pleyel, Auditorium de Lyon, and opera houses including Paris Opéra, Nancy, Tours and Nantes).

She has narrated numerous performances including Nikolay Tcherepnin's The Fisherman and the Fish, Poulenc’sHistoire de Babar, Les rêves d’Alfred Bruneau and Yves Prin’s Psaume pour Nako in both France and Switzerland.

An author and director of documentaries for Arte, Mezzo and France 2, she co-wrote Les pianos de l’été with Don Kent, and with Gérald Caillat Une Trilogie de Monteverdi, Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Coline Serreau répète Rossini, La Péniche Opéra, Le Manuscrit disparu, Le Concours de Musique and Omo Bello I want to be a prima donna (Vosges TV 2016).

She directed Divertir en honnête homme (Yves Coudray), Rencontre avec Jean-Claude Pennetier (2017) and Yves Prin: Portrait Lyrique.

At the end of last year she organized and presented "Rendre Notre-Dame de Paris au monde" a conference-concert in Aix-Les-Bains with chef architect of historic monuments Philippe Villeneuve.

She has just been named Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
