Prize-winning violonist François Pineau-Benois has been described as a French virtuoso by the international media.
He entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) at the age of 14 and now holds master degrees in violin and chamber music.
He also studied with Régis Pasquier at the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot.
He has worked with Maxim Vengerov, Salvatore Accardo and Mauricio Fuks at European academies and won numerous International Competition prizes: Unanimous Pro Musicis Prize (2019), 1st Prize Alexandre Glazounov (2017), Banque Populaire Foundation (2017), Ciboure Prize of the Ravel Academy (2015), "Young Artist Award" Leopold Mozart (2013), Vatelot-Rampal competition (2006).
A soloist, he played with several orchestras, Jerusalem Festival, Opéra de Massy, Taurida of the Saint-Petersburg Palace Festival, for the bicentenary of Henri Vieuxtemps (5th concerto for violin). In 2022 he gives many concerts in Finland with the Sibelius Concerto. François Pineau-Benois plays the historic Italian violin "Le Genève" an instrument that international soloist and composer Lucien Durosoir, took with him during the First World War and graciously loaned by the association “Musiciens entre Guerre et Paix”.
