    After studying the trombone, in 2007 Cecile Van Wetter began her voice studes firstly in Dijon, then in Paris and Florence and to perform her first concerts as a soloist.

    She joined the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia de Rome the following year and obtained a masters in lyrical singing and a licence in baroque singing in the class of Sara Mingardo and Furio Zanasi.

    She continued her musical development with French and Italian maestros and her solo career in opera and in concerts in Europe.

    A finalist in the Concours International Vox Artis 2015 and winner of the Opernesanger Studio Wien special prize, she recorded Improvvisazione e repertorio alternatim (for Fons Musicae); Virgo Prudentissima (for K617), which won five Diapasons and Jean-Baptiste Morin's Médée, cantate under the direction of Iakovos Pappas.
