Born in Lviv in 2004, Bohdan Luts studied at the Kyiv and Lviv State Music Lyceum with Olga Korinets and Maria Futorska. He is currently a student at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland in the class of Oleg Kaskiv, Guillaume Chilemme and Renaud Capuçon and regularly participates in masterclasses of famous musicians and teachers such as Gabor Takacz-Nagy, Liviu Prunaru, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Pablo de Naverán, Ivan Vukčević, Jean-Jacques Kantorow and others.
First prize as well as the audience award at the 2nd Alberto Lysy International Violin Competition in Gstaad 2022, Bohdan has won also Grand Prix and 1st Prize Lviv Virtuoso, Bohdan Varhal Talents for Europe, 2nd prize Kocian 2015, third prize Arthur Grumiaux 2017, 2nd prize Il piccolo violino magico 2018, 3rd prize Lipizer 2021 and, at the age of 17, 1st prize Carl Nielsen in 2022.
Bohdan Luts has performed as a soloist with the orchestras: Košice Symphony, Copenhagen Philarmonic, Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony, Sinfonica di Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lviv Virtuosos Chamber, Trembita Chamber, -Lviv Symphony and Kyiv Chamber National Soloists among others. Forthcoming projects include a solo recording with the Odense Symphony for Orchid Classics and solo appearances with top Nordic orchestras.
